Spaghetti 02:50
Candid in your process; I can see you're incomplete. I can feel the blood flowin’ too in my heart down to my knees around you. But I’ll go; “to the victor go the spoils” yeah. But I’ll wait in time. Cause life’s so messy, that’s why I’m making my spaghetti for two. What’s your pith and substance? I feel like I’m missing your point. It feels like a gold rush too; tumblin’ through now boulder dirt surrounds your core. But I’ll go; you’re the victor, I’m the foil yeah. But I’ll wait in time. Cause life’s so messy, that’s why I’m making my spaghetti. And you’re working so hard to leave the surface charred. And life’s so real, that’s why I’m making all my meals for two.

Oh peace, love…and the other thing: I am asleep in my dream with lemon tarts and whipped cream. Oh so so…you’re elated. Is there excess? Is there cause? For what it is, not what it was? I’m a corporation to you; you think I don’t really care. When I’m looking into your eyes, I stare. You ain’t moving me much at all. Give this solace, good will when I say, “lately see I’m coming home at 10.” Oh peace, love…and the other thing: I am awake with esteem; got my party and laser beams. Oh so so…you’re elated. Is there excess? Is there worth? From here I stand until my birth? I’m a company man now; you think I don’t really care. When I’m looking into your eyes, I stare. You ain’t moving me much at all. Give this solace, good will, well that makes this ill. And I’m leaving the most at the door. Was there something you said? When I say “lately see I’m coming home at 10.” When I say “lately see I’m coming home at 10.” When I say “lately see I’m coming home at 10.”

It feels like days, but I know too well it’s been mere centuries since I fought like a younger child. And now it seems what may come or go or stand here next to me; it makes me feel wild. Things may go so far from home and yet they rarely even make it out the front door. And when I cease and pass away, I’ll co-exist cause I know I’ll still be placed upon your worry list. I spit and strain as the seconds they move slower than molasses; I’ve learned nothing from your classes. I take the wheel, now everything looks smaller in the background. So I rev it up a notch. Things may go so far from home and yet they rarely even make it out the front door. And when I cease and pass away, I’ll co-exist cause I know I’ll still be placed upon your worry list. It’s true, you’ll never find borstal men like me with certain minds. And when they ask, “who’s got your time?” Well that so haunts me. It’s true, you’ll never find borstal men like me with certain minds. And when they ask, “who’s got your time?” Well that so haunts me. Ba da da da da

All that cease to be; hands riding up the leg of my love. I may turn my head, give it up and fly away like a dove. Oh no, oh no, oh no. These winters often blow. Oh no, oh no. But Sunshine…let her go. I was frozen still on solid ground. Looking falsely at my setting, ‘cause all of my friends are around. And when we leave this place, we’ll fumble on the street together. This world’s a little unsalted now, So hold each other close team players. Oh yeah, Oh yeah, Oh yeah. And this weather’s still fuckin’ bad!!! Oh yeah, Oh yeah. But what a night we had. And with this limited time I’m bound; got no piece to my puzzle, but all of my friends are around. And all of my friend is in town.

about

For your listening pleasure, I present to you: “In the Limited Time.”

No person is an island and despite being “a solo act,” I could not have done this without the help and support of many individuals. I would like to thank a few of the T. Nautilus team here:

(1) First, a thank you to my producer, mixer, and friend, Jordan Jackiew. Jordan has been the man behind the scenes for T. Nautilus, helping navigate and capture the wild ideas in my brain, and making it sound complete. I’m looking forward to future collaborative projects whenever I get the opportunity return home.

(2) A genuine thank you to my social media guru Hannah Kujundzic. I know nothing about social media and how it operates (past releases tend to show that.) The return of T. Nautilus and getting this new music to a wider audience could not have been done without her creative ideas, and sorcery in making me look cool.

(3) A thank you to my friends. In addition to inspiring many themes on this release, their care and support as I got back into playing live music again after many years made this all an incredibly exciting time.

(4) Last, a thank you to my family. To my late grandmother whose artwork encapsulates the essence of this music; to my parents who unequivocally supported this pursuit from an early age.

This EP is about people, connections and the limited time we have.

With that in mind, please give the EP listen; I would love to know what you think :).

Your friend/pal,

Ian T. D. Thomson/T. Nautilus
