about

Dear listener,

Thank you for listening to this . It’s something that I didn’t think would ever happen at some points during this long process.

The songs on this album have been through a lot and it’s an odd feeling to finally put them out there. Some of these tunes were written as early as 2010 and the “newer” tracks as late as 2013. They summate half a decade of work and I would be lying if I said I haven’t developed some sick emotional attachment towards them. What 150 seconds of music represents years of my life.

I don’t think I couldn’t have done this without the help and support of my family. Simply put, they made this album possible. When I had lost the drive to see this thing through at points, they encouraged me; when clouded with irrationality near the end of the project, they supported me. Thank you for dealing with a dumb artist.

I would like to thank Jordan Jackiew and Ryan Voth for their contributions on the album. For Ryan, your talents as a drummer made the process run unbelievably smooth and efficient. For Jordan, you made the music in my head become vibrant and alive. Thank you for dealing with my obsessive nature towards the songs, even when we thought the songs were complete.

Finally, I would like to thank my grandmother, Olive Johnston, whose artwork is featured. She was one of the most optimistic people I have ever met and a true inspiration for her artistry. Her work must be appreciated.

In closing, I hope you enjoy the music.

Sincerely,
Ian T. D. Thomson, “T. Nautilus”
